The so-called soft packaging refers to the packaging in which the shape of the container can change after filling or removing the contents. Paper, aluminum foil, fiber, plastic film and their laminated of all kinds of bags, boxes, sets, encapsulation, etc. Laminated soft package materials, is two or more kinds of materials with different properties, using coating, hot pressing, bonding and other ways of laminating, to form a new type of high performance packaging material can give full play to the advantages of each component. Soft package can replaced traditional package of glass bottom and metal can in some areas.
At present, it mainly includes the packaging of food, beverage, medicine, cosmetics and other products, such as instant noodles, drinks, sausages and so on.
Compare to other packaging materials, the characteristic of laminated packaging including :

②light and soft;
③less free volume in packaging;
④diversified in form;
⑤Good dimensional stability, applicable to a wide range of products;

The packaging materials made of laminated materials are classified as follows according to different laminating processes, material used and different requirements to be realized.
(1)According to laminating process:
①dry coating organic solvent adhesive laminate soft packaging materials;
②wet coating inorganic adhesive composite soft packaging materials;
③extrusion film cascade compound soft packaging materials;
④multi-layer co-extrusion(more than two extrusion head) laminated soft packaging materials;
⑤hot-melt coating laminated soft packaging materials;

(2) According to laminating function:

(3)According to materials: the base material used for soft packaging laminate is mainly plastic film, followed by paper, metal foil and composite materials. The following types of laminate packaging materials can be manufactured with them :
① paper and paper;

⑤Plastic film and metal foil;
